Had a great time at the salon; nice to get out with people and have a laugh. It's that type of thing I miss by being a hermit. Never used to be like this. However, the Internet had been a social lifeline for me for ten years when I'd been stranded in an emotional wilderness. Now, as much as I love joking around in Facebook with friends and family, I find the monotony of staring at the computer screen is driving me to boredom - a word that has no place in my vocab.

This has brought me to the decision that I'd like to find a writing partner; someone I could meet up with at the local library and though I'm not interested in collaborating on anything at this time (what with my need to finish a few of my own projects first), I'm looking for that someone to be a sounding board, someone with that writer's brain that's so different from other brain types.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll have quite the time finding someone in the area looking for a writing partner. But, we'll see. Stranger things have happened.

Goal for now: look after the ki'ies and read in bed. Am currently reading book 1 of Apocalypse Babes: The 'Z' Word. Not normally into this genre, but am hooked.
