Listening to Crows is a FREE, short story download offered at many on-line book stores. It was my first traditionally-published piece, featured in the Nov/Dec 2000 issue of The Hearing Health Magazine.
The hero, Corvid, is a deaf photographer who takes what he learns from watching crows interact with each other and applies it to his life, much to the chagrin of his ex-girlfriend. Someday, I hope to take his character and develop it fully. Perhaps, there's even a piece of him in the 'Mick/Michel/Michael' character found in Orchids for Roses and the as-of-yet unreleased book, Laughter for Tears.
Goal for now: look after ki'ies and retire for the night.
