One Day ONLY Contest!

Published: November 30th, 2012 11:00 AMTrying to catch the eye of an editor? Well, now's your chance! Kerri Nelson of Prism Book Group will be reading pitches one day only, November 30, 2012.

SUBMISSIONS REQUESTED: 
Please pitch to Kerri by leaving a comment on this blog of your book blurb (no more than two small paragraphs). You must be logged in to Savvy for your comment to appear. Winners will be announced on Friday, December 7th.

Kerri enjoys anything in the romance and/or mystery genres and is seriously drawn to stories containing a surprise ending. She enjoys humorous heroines, heart-of-gold heroes, and books with the potential for a continuing series of interwoven storylines and characters.

Preferred sub-genres include: Contemporary and Historical (Regency and Victorian England era or Civil War American era) Romance; coming of age Young Adult Christian fiction (where teens learn lessons in fun and unexpected ways); and Romantic Suspense or Cozy Mysteries (with a nail biting dose of danger included).
Both established authors and pre-published (new talent) writers are eagerly welcomed to submit. In addition to full-length novels, Kerri is the self-proclaimed “Queen of Novellas,” so if you have a short story between 15K and 30K, please send it her way.

Until midnight EST Novemnber 30, members will have an opportunity to post their book blurb as a comment to this post.

Who can enter?
Contest is open to registered members of Savvy Authors. Not a member? JOIN TODAY! Entries posted anonymously (by non-members) will be removed.

The rules are simple:
1. Post your book blurb in the comments section of this article after logging into the website, include at the top the Title, Genre, & Word Count.
2. Make sure your manuscript falls within the genres Kerri listed above!
3. Only post if your manuscript is ready now!
4. Check back on December 7th to see who Kerri picked.
5. Limit two pitches to Kerri per member.
6. Be sure to include your name, title and word count of your manuscript, and genre.

Please note, all pitches that do not follow the directions chance being removed without notice. This includes posting more than two pitches and pitches that are longer than the requested length.
