5.0 out of 5 stars Sarah: A Mission of Love October 8, 2012

Sarah: A Mission of Love
Sarah is,a sweet little angel, on her first mission to earth with many problems to overcome.
There are so many funny parts to the book, that it would be difficult to identify one blunder as the funniest. I identified with Sarah in many ways. Tom Shoemaker was another important character with a tough decision to make. It was not until I completed the book that I found out if the angel accomplished her mission or which decision Tom made. I was kept in suspense causing me to want to read without stopping.

The book gives insight to life as a pastor's wife, the plan of salvation, and what happens when we try to assume others responsibilities. Not only is the book comical but it is a teaching tool that would appeal to all ages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful! October 2, 2012

It would be hard to read this delightful story without getting a smile on one's face and a feeling of warmth and satisfaction about life in general. The author has given the angel, Sarah, some "human" qualities that make her very loveable and beguiling. I especially related to her love of eating delicious, but not so healthful, food such as cheese burgers and milk shakes! I also thought Sarah's special thermostat was a clever invention and I would love to have one of those myself. Some of us can probably also relate to Sarah's difficulty with being "directionally challenged." Gay Lewis has done a fine job of presenting a meaningful story in a very entertaining manner. Not only will adults enjoy the story of Sarah and her mission, but it should also appleal to younger readers. It would be a wonderful gift for teen or pre-teen girls. I'm looking forward to reading the next book about this delightful character and her earthly stuggles as she carries out her heavenly assignment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Endearing Story September 23, 2012

For me to enjoy a book, the author has to entice me into caring about the main characters. Gay Lewis achieved this right away. Tom and Marcy are believable and lovable, and I was pulling for them to find love with each other. Their matchmaking angel Sarah is a charming, ditzy, bumbling airhead. Every time things started to get serious, Sarah lightened things up and had me chuckling at her antics. And just when I thought I knew exactly where the plot would go, Lewis tossed in a twist that took me completely by surprise. Some gray fall day when you don't want to get out of your jammies, put on the coffee or brew a pot of tea and snuggle down to read this delightful book. Regardless of the weather outside, Sarah: A Mission of Love will warm your heart.
