A Weekly Cleaning Plan
Let’s talk about a different way to organize our cleaning habits. Most times we feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, so we don’t. Or, we start in the same place each time and never get to different rooms or tasks. Creating a plan for each day will help spread your “cleaning love” around the house.
Let me give you a few suggestions, you create whatever system works best for you! It’s your home for your family, so remember this great thought from Marla Cilley, The Flylady, “Housework done incorrectly still blesses your family.” There isn’t a wrong way, just get cleaning! You will feel so much better when your done!
Monday: Cleaning Day (do the big stuff today)
-Laundry
-Take out recycling/garbage
-Sweep/Mop/Vacuum all floors
-Dust
Tuesday: Planning Day & Paper Day
-Plan meals/shopping list
-Pay Bills
-Send cards; birthday, thank you, etc…
-Other cleaning that needs to be done.
-Update blog, scrapbook, and/or journal
-Plan activities and calendar next week
-Check for school papers or items to return
Wednesday: Out of the House Day
-Grocery shopping
-Post office
-Pay bills
-Get gas / wash the car
-While your out- go to lunch!
Thursday: Everything Else Day
-sewing
-ironing
-yard work
-clean out a closet/ drawer
Friday: Bathroom Day
-clean the bathrooms
Friday Night: Date Night
Saturday: Family Fun Day
Sunday: Renew Your Spirit Day
Creating a plan is a successful way to create oranization and become a better house keeper.
