Female Gladiators?


Until the practice was banned around 200 A.D., women were allowed to fight as gladiators in ancient Rome. A female fighter was known as a gladiatrix.
Playing cards were invented in China during the ninth century, and within 100 years they became popular throughout Asia. The earliest sets consisted of 48 cards, not 52.
