My Inner Critic Told Me I Couldn't, But I Shut It Down!

Two weeks ago after completing a writing project I’d agonized over for months, I decided to jump into the next project. Immediately. This time, however, I was determined to write the manuscript in a week.

I figured out the word count and then calculated how many words I’d need to write every day to meet my goal. Monday, I’d started fresh and excited, and easily reached the word count goal. Tuesday proved to be slower, but I still met my daily allotment. Wednesday and Thursday were a different story, so to speak.

Thursday evening, I tweaked the plot and on Friday I finished.

Is the manuscript going to need editing?

     Oh, tons!

Am I satisfied with what I’d accomplished?

     Indeedy, yes.

     Will I do it again?

     I have to!

Writing is my passion. It’s been that way since I was a little girl. But that’s a story for another day.

A good review is like sunshine after a month of rain.
