Zeke Ranger’s reputation had been destroyed by a calculating student when he’d been employed as a teacher in Silver Rock. Though exonerated from the charges, he’s not so quick to trust people. He’s also not interested in helping his new neighbors who’d rented the shack next door. But that all changes when Feak is arrested and the roof caves in on Madeline and her aunt.
