Piecing Laughter for Tears Together

I'd spent far too much time, money and paper on manuscripts to just turn my back on all the work I'd done on Laughter for Tears. So ... I've gone back through a few manuscripts and began selecting pieces to patch together into what I hope will be a solid story. So far, I have well over 30,000 words. I'm not going to be too bothered if I don't make it to the 90,000 word mark. As long as the plot keeps the reader hooked from page one, and ends with the reader longing for more (there will be, of course - more - because Graves needs to tell his side of things).

After the way I felt this past weekend, I'm taking it easier. But very little can force me completely away from the computer.

Finished reading the book, Imperfect Justice, by Jeff Ashton and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't give me the urge to track down a 'certain person' and - I digress. There were actually humorous moments, such as when a 'certain person's' lawyer, in his arrogance, misused his words and was caught on camera looking ... hmmm ... well, less educated than he believed himself to be. I'd recommend the book. Jeff Ashton held himself to professional standards (okay, he slipped a time or two, hee hee), but you never saw him making rude gestures to the crowd or the cameras. The US legal system lost a great man when he retired.

Goal for now: spend a little quality writing time with ten-year-old Ysie.
