Those dreams a person has -- somewhere in the middle of a lovely dream and a nightmare -- can be quite disturbing and insane. Why I have them, I'll never know. Just wish I wouldn't. Makes for a restless sleep; the kind the cats won't even stick around for while I 'thrash it out'.

My little fella has gone back to sleeping at my feet -- which I absolutely despise -- and any time my feet move too close to him, he claws me as a warning. I don't see any scratches on my foot today, so moving around must have been too much for even him to endure.  He's funny. Really quite touchy and easily aggravated. 

Saw a patch of white fur in the hall outside my door, and I figure the cats must have gotten into one of their fights. They both still have their claws -- I refused to amputate them for the sake of declawing -- and it's a wonder they haven't wounded each other. Yale is a backbiter and Ivy is 1/2 his size again so she could throw him around, but whenever the fight becomes too intense one of them always runs away and sulks for a while.

Funny cats. I love them dearly, but funny cats.

Goal for now: prepare for another day of critiques.

A rose by any other name is trouble. At least, that's always been Deborah's experience when it comes to Amy Brothers.
