Special Call For Submissions

Thank you for your interest in submitting to Prism Book Group. At this time, we are actively seeking new authors to join our team. We welcome you to review the submission guidelines posted below and send in your manuscript.
Before you do, please make certain your novel is fully edited and polished, and that it meets our guidelines and standards. Sending in work before it is ready can only hurt your chances of publication.

Do you write Christian fiction?
We are seeking Christian fiction of all lengths and genres for our new Illuminate line. See our submission guidelines belows!

Joan Alley, Owner & Editor-in-Chief
Owner of Prism Book Group, Joan Alley has worked in the romance writing field for over eight years, both as an author and editor. Joan loves to read all genres of romance, but particularly hopes to receive inspirational romance titles, especially suspense and historical. Joan has a particular soft spot for cowboys. She has also enjoys biblical fiction, Amish romances, and post-apocalyptic stories. Joan's favorite authors include Catherine Anderson and Ellen O'Connell. To submit your material to Joan, email contact@prismbookgroup.com.

Madison Connors, Acquiring Editor
Madison Connors has been in the publishing industry for over 13 years. Her credits include working for multiple newspapers as a columnist, staff writer and copy editor. She has contributed to many online websites and USA Today. She is a lover of all sub-genres of romance and especially loves historical westerns (1850-1930 depression era and contemporary) novels. She appreciates authors who write outside-the-box producing heroines of voluptuous stature and the not-so-perfect appearance as well as heroes who have quirks (think under-dog here) and loves the truest of true love connection between characters.
To name a few of her favorite romance authors would be difficult as she has a wide range of preferred authors.
Editing and promoting comes second nature as she has thirteen published novels under her pseudonym.
To submit a manuscript to Madison, please email her at mconners@prismbookgroup.com.

Jacqueline Hopper, Acquiring Editor
Jacqueline Hopper never dreamed of becoming a writer until a teacher read her poem to her class. That event alone incited Jacqueline’s interest in the writing realm. However, it wasn’t until after she began taking courses and honing her skills that her short and novel-length stories sold.
Since then, Jacqueline has participated in critique groups, acted as ghostwriter, proofreader and copy editor while continuing to pen her own stories. Her favorite authors include anyone who can pluck her heartstrings, reduce her to tears or make her double over with laughter.
Jacqueline is interested in fantasy, sci-fi, historical, mystery, humorous and contemporary romance. Fresh ideas are most appealing.
To submit a manuscript to Jacqueline, email jhopper@prismbookgroup.com.

Kerri Nelson, Acquiring Editor
Kerri Nelson discovered her love of writing at an early age and soon became a columnist for her local newspaper winning the Outstanding Young Journalist of the Year Award for her efforts. After a fifteen year career in the legal field, Kerri fulfilled her lifelong dream of publication and is now an award winning multi-published author of nearly two dozen books in every genre under the sun (and moon). With over a decade of writing and publishing experience, Kerri seeks to mentor new authors into the amazing world of publication.
Kerri enjoys anything in the romance and/or mystery genres and is seriously drawn to stories containing a surprise ending.  She enjoys humorous heroines, heart-of-gold heroes, and books with the potential for a continuing series of interwoven storylines and characters.  Preferred sub-genres include:  Contemporary and Historical (Regency and Victorian England era or Civil War American era) Romance; coming of age Young Adult Christian fiction (where teens learn lessons in fun and unexpected ways); and Romantic Suspense or Cozy Mysteries (with a nail biting dose of danger included).
Both established authors and pre-published (new talent) writers are eagerly welcomed to submit.  In addition to full-length novels, Kerri is the self-proclaimed “Queen of Novellas” so if you have a short story between 15K and 30K, please send it her way.
To submit a manuscript to Kerri, please email her at: knelson@prismbookgroup.com.

Marcy Dyer, Acquiring Editor

Marcy G. Dyer has been an avid reader and writer all of her life. In her career as a Registered Nurse, Marcy often wrote technical manuals and patient oriented articles for her employers.

Over the last ten years, her interest has turned to fiction and she began taking courses and honing her craft. She participates in various writing groups, and works as freelance editor. Her debut novel will be released in January 2013.

Marcy will accept submissions in any genre but prefers those that fit within Prism's Christian fiction Illuminate imprint: Amish, Angels, Apocalyptic/Futuristic, Comedy, Contemporary, Historical, Holiday, Suspense, Western and Women's Fiction.
