"I woke one morning and all I could remember of the dream that shook me from a restless sleep was seeing a group of people hunkered under a tarp inside the camper shell on the back of a small red pick-up as they attempted to sneak into Mexico. The point of view wasn’t that unusual. I often dream in third-person, but who were these people and what would incite American’s to attempt an illegal crossing into Mexico? No matter how hard I tried to remember, the answers never came, so I wrote Desperate Dreams in order to finish the vision that formed so boldly in my mind, yet refused to fade in the morning light."
