We celebrate Robbie Burns twice a year, Once every January 25th on the day named for him when every person worldwide with a drop of Scottish blood feels compelled to eat haggis, and on New Year's Eve when we sing his words in "Auld Lang Syne".
Robert Burns, 1759-1796 was considered to be a leader of the Romantic Movement. He was also a patriot (Scots Wha Hae) and a social commentator, (A Man's A Man For A' That). He had a love for all creatures and wrote To a Mouse after disturbing a mouse nest in a field as he was ploughing and felt chagrin at disturbing the nest. He was certainly a romantic soul and loved the lasses but seemed to have had a little difficulty with monogamy. Jacqueline is a fan of historical dramas as long as they're clean with some crazy plot twists. Often she writes with her darling Nash-cat resting on her arms, which makes for some interesting typing. She's a survivor of narcissistic head games, and adds bits and pieces taken from her experiences to her stories.
