Chervil...what is it?

Popular names: chervil.

Traditionally: occasionally cultivated for culinary demands; the leaves were used for salads and as a condiment.

The sprouts were used against skin diseases. The tea from the floral sprouts was consumed as a stimulant and diuretic. It was also consumed for uterine hemorrhage.

Chemical composition of chervil

Ethereal oil 0,03% composed of methyl-cavicol, fatty oils, bitter substances, vitamin B, C. Mineral salts, etc.
