Renata Blake has moved to the Milwaukee area to leave behind a painful past as a victim of abuse.

“Hey, Renata. You ready?”
She leaned forward and took a loud sniff.
Tony raised an eyebrow.

Tony laughed and said in a spooky voice, “Oh, but sweetheart, this is not the season for vampires. They are more eager for blood in the spring.”
Renata learns the road to healing is filled with potholes.

  2. I've started reading this book and it packs a powerful punch right from the beginning :) You're right, the cover and title are amazing.
