Migraines: They Stop You Like Nothing Else Can

Today I experienced my first jagged-line, nearly-blinding migraine. I've had migraines before, but this one was unique. Sent me back to bed for five hours. Ruined my plans: laundry, tidy my apartment, change the kitty litter etc. I managed to change the litter and do one load of laundry. And that's it. Of course, I checked my e-mail and a few other of my sites. I could be paralyzed and I'd still pull myself to the keyboard to check e-mail and Facebook.

That is NOTHING to applaud! Le sigh ...

My headache is still rolling around above my left eye, but I'm feeling a bit better than what I'd felt earlier. Mum pointed out the fact that I'm pushing myself too hard: studies, writing ... That's about it. And I guess she's right, she's usually right. That's my Mum. Three hundred years ago they'd have burned her at the stake for being a witch, what with her 'mind reading' (says what I'm thinking at the same moment), her ability to call someone just when they walk in the house from being in town. It's uncanny.

However, with all her motherly advice, I continue to push myself to study and write. But I can't deny the power of a migraine when it's unleashed. It'll stop you like most things can't.

Goal for now: get away from the bright light of the monitor. My head hurts! **Groan**
