*These can be made in a muffin pan as well.
My secret ingredient for giving these that extra donut flavor? Nutmeg.
Preheat oven 350 F
1/2 c coconut flour
1/4 tsp sea salt
6 eggs
1/2 c honey or any sweetener of your choice, I use liquid honey
Nutmeg to flavor. I'm big on spices so I always add extra, but you can start with 1 tsp
1 tbs vanilla extract
1/2 c butter or coconut oil
Blend dry ingredients together in a bowl
Using a whisk or handmixer, blend all wet ingredients into dry ingredients
Grease donut pan or muffin tin and fill 2/3 full with batter
Bake 20 minutes
Use the ol' toothpick trick to see if they're done.
The flavor is very nice on the first day, but by the second day the flavor has a chance to set. Delicious with a cup of hot tea or coffee.
