Commercials. Ads. No matter what you call them, you can't avoid them. So why not make friends with them? By that I mean, when you're watching a movie or show and an ad comes on--that is, if you can't skip them--make a mad dash to tidy or clean something.
It takes about 2 minutes to swish out the toilet and then wipe down the fawcet and sink. Might not even take that long.
You could tidy the kitchen counter. Toss dishes into the dishwasher, or wash a few by hand and let them air dry. You could Swiffer the floor. You could vacuum a rug. The possibilities are endless.
Turn it into a competition. See what you can do during each set of ads. If you haven't tried it before, give it a shot. You just might surprise yourself.
So don't let a good ad go to waste. Make it your new best friend.
